QuantiFERON-TB Single Tube - QuantiFERON-TB (Single Tube) Test

It is a simplified version of the traditional quantiferon-tb (QFT) assay, using a single tube of whole blood instead of three. The tube contains a mixture of tuberculosis-specific antigens (ESAT-6 and CFP-10) and controls. The assay measures the release of interferon-gamma from lymphocytes in response to these antigens, indicating the presence of latent tuberculosis infection.
