The hepatitis A virus IgG antibody test (HAV Ab IgG) is a serological immunoassay that measures the presence and quantity of immunoglobulin G antibodies directed against the hepatitis A virus. These antibodies appear during the recovery phase from acute infection and persist for life, providing lifelong immunity against the virus. They also appear after successful vaccination against the virus.
