A laboratory kit designed to detect antibodies or antigens specific to selected sexually transmitted infections. The kit includes: HIV Combo Test: Detects both the P24 antigen and antibodies to HIV (HIV-1 and HIV-2), increasing sensitivity for early detection during the testing window. VDRL Test: A non-specific serological test for syphilis, used to detect non-specific antibodies produced by the body in response to infection with Treponema pallidum (the causative agent of syphilis). It is often the initial screening test and requires confirmation with specific tests if the result is positive. HSV-1 IgM Test: Measures IgM antibodies to herpes simplex virus type 1, which usually indicates a recent acute or active infection. (Note: Type 1 is traditionally associated with oral sores, but it can also cause genital infections.)
