Gastrointestinal Sarcoma Package - Immunohistochemistry: CD117 Diagnostic Package

This diagnostic package, based on immunohistochemistry, includes testing for a range of key markers to diagnose gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) and other sarcomas. The package primarily includes CD117 assay (c-KIT), along with the essential complementary markers: DOG1 (a highly sensitive and specific marker for GIST), CD34 (a vascular/stromal marker), and SMA (Smooth Muscle Actin). The package aims to confirm a GIST diagnosis through CD117 and/or DOG1 positivity and to differentiate it from other sarcomas such as leiomyomas (SMA-positive) or fibroblastic tumors.
